In my english class the teacher was telling me that certain colour have thier meaning in positive way and negative way. Like red stands for revenge and love what do all the common colour stand for? And not only in the western world I would like to know wha they stand for in other cultures.

Colors make human brains do odd things. Imagine a yellow truck against a gray stormy sky with plenty of light against the truck.. you'd want to be inside the truck. While nature will on very few occasions give you the ability to shoot that without artificial light, its rare. With emphasis on colors you only bring out parts of a shot that may or may not influence how the viewer feels. A picture of a gray stormy sky with a yellow, red or even blue umbrella will make most viewers content. Switch the umbrella for a newspaper of either color that could not possibly cover them and you might get a different reaction. Color does manipulate the viewer, your use of light (artificial or not) is what lets that happen. |

um, yellow = happy white is clean and pure black could be evil or just represent darkness green is nature, orange is a warning. Those meanings are quite universal, dont see how they are 'hidden' |
