I would question your apprehension regarding not being very knowledgeable first, isn't the point of taking a course to learn?

Its much easier to learn when you know nothing than to forget what you thought you knew before the learning process could begin :) No tips or tricks on a forum are going to help you if you don't have enough experience to decide for yourself if they are sound. This course should give you a base from which you can successfully seek advice.

I'd just enjoy the course, then take a few more.
